Sparks City Hall Closed Wednesday As Safety Precaution

SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — Sparks officials have decided to close city hall on Wednesday as a precautionary safety measure tied to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.

The city said in a statement Tuesday that "no direct threats have been received." It said the "precautionary measure" is "for the safety of employees and the public."

Reno spokesman Jon Humbert told the Reno Gazette-Journal the city is aware of "no specific threats or intel that would necessitate a closure" of Reno City Hall.
