Heather Lang

Heather Lang is not only a poet but she also takes photographs with a pinhole camera.

A couple of weeks ago, a poem with an intriguing title caught our eye. We were scanning the website of Desert Companion magazine. The poem had a catchy title. “Paradise, Nevada.”

Heather Lang is the poet.

We wanted to find out more, and we did.

Heather moved from Seattle to Las Vegas a few month ago. She teaches writing at Nevada State College, and is an editor for “The Literary Review,” which is published at her alma mater,  Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. She also does literary translation. She translates Mandarin Chinese into English.

We asked Heather to stop by the KNPR studios to talk about her poem.
