Project Neon — a nearly $1 billion remaking of Interstate 15 between Sahara Avenue and the Spaghetti Bowl — broke ground last week.

Nevada’s largest ever infrastructure project is expected to ease delays on a highway corridor that carries 300,000 vehicles a day, but first comes three years of construction and the traffic snarls such a huge project will create.
