CCSD Looks At Making More Schools Year Round

The Clark County School District is looking at having more schools operate year-round, with as many as 61 being considered.  The decision on which schools make the change could come as early as Friday.

CCSD says the main reason for the change is overcrowding. With not enough money to build new schools, making some schools year-round is he only option the district has to alleviate the problem, they say.

Each of those schools would cost an additional $330,000 to operate, with the money will coming from the district's general fund.  A dozen or so schools already operate year-round.
